Sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) is a prevalent condition that encompasses range of disorders, such as snoring, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), and upper airway resistance syndrome. These disorders have significant implications for both oral health overall well-being. Dental medicine (DSM) plays crucial role in the identification, diagnosis, management SDB, offering effective treatment options patients. As awareness grows regarding detrimental effects particularly sleep-related disorder, it becomes important to recognize potential dentists solutions this field. This recognition gives rise new aspect dentistry known Sleep Medicine (DSM). DSM focuses on practice clinical with goal achieving an ideal jaw relationship establishing normal function performance.
